Premium window and door solutions for Kawartha Lakes residents
For over 15 years, we’ve helped residents across Kawartha Lakes improve their homes with quality windows and exterior doors. Our team knows the unique weather patterns of Central Ontario—from harsh winter winds off the lakes to humid summer conditions—and engineers every product to handle these extremes. We manufacture 17,000 windows annually at our 60,000-square-foot facility, giving us the expertise and capacity to complete your project efficiently. Our authorized dealers and installation team ensure each window performs exactly as designed, keeping your home comfortable year-round.
Every home in Kawartha Lakes has different needs, which is why we offer a complete selection of window types to match your requirements. Whether you’re replacing windows in a heritage home or building new construction, our manufacturing process lets us customise each unit to your exact specifications. We use uPVC frames that won’t warp, rot, or require painting, paired with Low-E coated glass for maximum energy efficiency. Our windows feature multi-point locking systems and weather-tight seals designed specifically for Ontario’s climate extremes.
Hinged on one side, these windows swing outward for excellent ventilation and unobstructed views.
Top-hinged design allows ventilation even during rain, perfect for bathrooms and basements throughout Kawartha.
Both sashes slide vertically for easy cleaning and traditional charm that suits any architectural style.
Budget-friendly option with a fixed upper sash and operable lower sash for controlled airflow.
Horizontal operation makes them ideal for wide openings where you need space-efficient ventilation solutions.
European-style functionality lets you tilt for ventilation or turn for full opening and cleaning.
Bottom-hinged windows that open inward, commonly used in basements where egress isn’t required but light matters.
Non-operable units that maximise natural light and views while providing superior insulation and security features.
Three-panel projection creates extra interior space and architectural interest for living rooms and dining areas.
Curved configuration with four or more panels adds elegance and panoramic views to any room.
Large uninterrupted glass surfaces showcase Kawartha’s scenery without compromising thermal performance or structural integrity.
Most Kawartha homeowners choose vinyl replacement windows — and for good reason. Vinyl (uPVC) frames are low-maintenance, highly energy-efficient, and engineered to handle Ontario’s freeze-thaw cycles without warping, cracking, or peeling. All our vinyl windows are ENERGY STAR® certified and come with fusion-welded corners for maximum air and water tightness. Whether you’re replacing a single window or undertaking a full home renovation, vinyl delivers the best combination of performance and value for Kawartha homes.
For Kawartha’s many cottage country and lakefront properties with a modern or contemporary aesthetic, we also supply aluminum windows. Aluminum frames are slimmer and structurally stronger, allowing for larger glass surfaces and cleaner sight lines — a natural fit for picture windows and floor-to-ceiling designs.
Not sure which material is right for your home? Our team will assess your windows, budget, and style preferences and recommend the best fit — at no obligation.
Why is it always colder near the windows?
Why did my heating bill jump again this winter?
In Kawartha homes — characterized by Seasonal homes, moisture — drafts are often the earliest sign that windows and doors are no longer sealing properly.
What’s usually happening:
You can raise the thermostat — but the heat keeps escaping.
Why can I hear everything outside so clearly?
Should windows really let in this much noise?
In Kawartha, traffic, neighbourhood activity, and environmental exposure often reveal weaknesses in older window systems.
If you’re noticing:
…it’s often because the window system is no longer insulating sound properly.
Why is there water inside the window?
Is this mold?
In Kawartha’s climate, this usually means the sealed glass unit has failed and moisture is trapped between panes.
Left unresolved, this can lead to:
Should I replace the windows before renovating?
Will new windows actually change how the home feels?
Many homeowners in Kawartha replace windows and doors during renovations, resale preparation, or when buying an older home.
Is this harmful?
Will this cause structural issues?
In Kawartha, ongoing drafts and moisture can escalate quickly, affecting indoor air quality, finishes, and framing.
Could someone break this window?
Would this glass actually stop an intruder?
Older windows and doors in Kawartha homes often lack reinforced glass and modern locking systems, making security upgrades a key concern.

Our windows meet ENERGY STAR™ certified requirements for Ontario’s climate zone, delivering measurable savings on heating and cooling costs. Each unit features advanced glazing technology and insulated frames that keep your home comfortable while reducing energy consumption throughout the year.
Three layers of glass with two insulating chambers deliver maximum thermal resistance for coldest exposures.
Two glass panes with sealed airspace between them balance performance and affordability for most homes.
Microscopically thin metallic coating reflects heat while allowing light through for year-round comfort control.
Dense, inert gas between panes slows heat movement better than air for improved insulation values.

Total Home installed 21 windows, a patio door, and a front door for us, and they did a great job. Vitaly offered a fair price and a high-quality product. The installation headed by Eugene and Said went smooth. Highly recommended.

An easy 5 star review for the Total Home Team. The quote, the timing, the efficiency, the communication, the window installation itself all went as planned. Nazar and the other installer were professional and quick. We only had budgeted for 5 windows and a door cut out and will use them again for the front door and windows, when the pocketbook allows.
We are very happy with our investment and the TH team.

Im very happy with my purchase of 10 windows from this company. The office was helpful in talking me thru my options and troubleshooting some design limitations. While i initially was disappointed that the installer could not provide larger sills on the wooden trim, in the end i am very happy with the updated look these windows give my home - inside and out!
Installers - Valery and Andre- worked consistently and politely thru completion. - an 11 hr and gruellingly hot day. - they left my home spotless. I am very happy with my double hung windows - i hope they last me a lifetime.

Nazar and his team exceeded my expectations. I fully recommend this team and company for ANY window or door renovation. They expanded my window and made a walk out for me that should have happened before I purchased this home. This is a dream come true.

We are completely happy with our new exterior door, windows and garage door, as supplied and installed by Total Home.
Our project manager Eugene was excellent from day 1 through completion, explaining everything clearly, always responding same day to questions. He provided us references of other projects in our community - these families were all very happy, years later, with their installations and each said the best part of their experience with Total Home was the top notch service they received. We feel exactly the same. Every aspect of the project (Eugene) and the installations (Nazar) were excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend Total Home, Eugene and Nazar, and in fact we hope to have them back for future work.

Had a great experience with my new glass unit installation at Total Home and Windows and Doors! Ended up super happy with the results.

For better privacy at home I opted to change from my clear glass to frosted. The installation was a quick and simple process.

Sales man Daniel was professional, courteous and honest. He gave us a very good price for our front door replacement. Dimitry and his installation team did a neat job and respected our privacy.
Our new Front door looks very nice

Total Home did a solid work, they replaced my windows and front Door, the quality and design are superb and The installers were quick, professional and cleaned up after themselves. Highly Recommended for general window replacement.

Eugene, Saïd, Bogdan, Andrew, and Dima did a great job. The crew was polite, on time, and the quality of their work is positively noticeable. Thumbs up Total Home.

What a beauty!! Thank you to Anatoliy Gadzevych and his team, Nazar & Maksym, at Total Home Windows and Doors for this beautiful fibreglass door! Installation was done well and so fast! I’m so happy! We were told the door will be done in the spring but it came so much faster! I’m one happy customer. Highly recommend this company! 😃

Bumped up from 2 stars to 4 stars because of our sales rep Alex who took care of the matter.
_______________________________________________________________
We replaced a total of 7 windows, with one positioned at a height of 16ft. Some windows had marks. The installer told me it wasn't scratches and could be cleaned with a paper towel. However, the mark on the 16ft-high window is too noticeable, and we can't reach it ourselves, requiring high altitude equipment. We don’t mind to clean the other 6 windows by ourselves, but just the one at 16ft high. The installer could clean it in 10 seconds, but now, the 10-second task needs to be done by a cleaning service, which starting at a minimum of $250 for just one 16 ft window!!!!!

Secondly, after all the windows were installed, the installer was doing the final cleaning, clearing the small wood chips and dust on the floor. It's the 21st century, and I don't understand why a professional window company didn't use an industrial vacuum cleaner instead of a broom. The wood debris and dust were only around the windows area, but the installer roughly and quickly swept with the broom, spreading dust throughout the entire house. A considerable amount of dust floated around, and we had to leave the house for several hours before returning to clean. If the installer had used a vacuum cleaner, it wouldn't have generated such a large amount of dust in the entire house.

Finally, we don't mind and already told the installer which washroom that they can use. However, the issue arose after the installer completed their installation and removed the dirty cloth from the floor, but then returned to use washroom with dirty shoes that they had walked into our backyard, carrying a lot of mud on their shoes. With the matter of the case, it should never happened as a professional company.

5-star experience with Vitaly from first meeting to the end of the project. We had our home windows replaced. Every aspect of the job was professional, up-front, clear, and all promises delivered! Installer Vasgen was also top in every way. I highly recommend Total!

I’ve decided to change some windows in my house, but also the glassing door of my balcony, as it got so squeaky.
So I searched on the internet to see different offers and compare them.
When I came across Total Home website, I found exactly what I am looking for. I contacted them, and they came just the day after. I explained to them what I wanted precisely, and they were paying attention to every detail, they suggested some interesting ideas, and gave me a detailed quote at the end.
The installation didn’t take that long, and the team was very professional and meticulous. I am very satisfied with the final result and would definitely recommend it.

Top notch Services with Total Home replacing 3 of my Windows in matter of hours and took care of cleaning the debris before living.
👏

We did shop around and ended up with three estimates several months ago when contemplating the purchase of new windows. Eugene made the choice to go with Total Home Windows and Doors a very easy one. He guided me through the endless choices with knowledge and patience until we came up with a perfect solution that is not only energy efficient, esthetically very pleasing, but also fell within our budget. Yesterday, Valerii and his amazing crew replaced 5 standard windows, a huge picture window in the living room, the back patio door, as well as our front door and screen door. They were all very courteous and professional. They worked so efficiently and left the house clean and tidy both inside and out. Val took the time to show me how all the different windows mechanisms worked and how easily cleaning them would now be. They did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier. The house looks amazing! Thanks, guys!!

F
ast service. Beautiful windows. Thank you Alex and Vlad you made the experience great.

Total Home Windows and Doors has served Ontario homeowners since 2007, earning Homestars Best of the Best recognition four times. We manufacture all products at our facility using modern equipment, giving us complete control over quality. Our founders bring engineering backgrounds to window design, which shows in features like our Total Seal lock system—a multi-point locking mechanism that reinforces corner weak points and prevents air infiltration. We’ve produced over 17,000 windows annually and completed projects for 28,000 satisfied customers. Every window includes a lifetime warranty on uPVC frames and sashes, plus 20-year glass seal coverage. Our team handles the complete process: we manufacture, deliver, install, and clean up, so you work with one company from start to finish. We help homeowners access government rebates and financing programmes, making energy-efficient upgrades affordable. Choose us for Canadian-made quality, transparent pricing, and service that prioritises your comfort and satisfaction.
That’s why we offer full coverage on products and installation — backed by our dedicated service team.
Total Home Windows and Doors combines in-house manufacturing with certified installation across Kawartha Lakes, delivering quality craftsmanship that earned us Homestars Best of the Best recognition four times. Our customer satisfaction ratings reflect our commitment to using premium materials and providing lifetime warranties that give you peace of mind.
ENERGY STAR™ certified triple-pane windows with Low-E coatings and argon gas fills work best for Kawartha Lakes and Central Ontario climates. These windows handle temperature extremes from -30°C winters to humid summers while reducing heating costs. Our casement windows and awning windows provide tight seals that prevent drafts in harsh weather.
Several major window manufacturers operate across the industry, but choosing the right supplier for your project depends on local service, not just business size. Total Home produces 17,000 windows annually at our Toronto facility, giving us the capacity to handle residential projects efficiently while maintaining direct quality control over every unit we manufacture.
Casement and awning windows typically range from $390 to $950 per unit installed, while sliding windows cost $260 to $790. Bay and bow windows run $2,500 to $6,000 depending on size and configuration. Contact us for accurate pricing based on your specific measurements, glass options, and any customisation you need for your home.
Quality vinyl windows have minimal drawbacks when manufactured properly. Lower-grade vinyl can discolour over time in direct sun, but our uPVC frames resist fading, warping, and cracking throughout their lifespan. Some homeowners prefer wood aesthetics, though modern vinyl offers woodgrain finishes that replicate natural textures while eliminating maintenance requirements like painting or staining.
Total Home Windows delivers Canadian-made quality at competitive prices by manufacturing in-house and selling direct to residential customers. We eliminate middleman markup while maintaining strict quality standards using Pro-Line machinery and Cardinal Glass. Our lifetime frame warranty and 20-year glass seal coverage protect your investment better than budget alternatives that compromise materials to reduce costs.
Quality vinyl windows last 20 to 40 years with proper maintenance, while our uPVC frames carry a lifetime warranty against defects. The sealed glass units maintain their insulating properties for at least 20 years under our warranty coverage. Regular cleaning and hardware lubrication help windows reach their full lifespan, and our team can help you find replacement parts if needed decades from now.
